WHEATLAND

Hi! 

I am a 4^th grade teacher at Wheatland. Originally from McPherson, I have two older sisters and six nephews and one niece. I have a communications degree from Bethel College, an elementary education degree from McPherson College, and a Masters in Instructional Technology from Ft. Hays State. I enjoy reading, creative writing, photography, hiking, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. Before I was a teacher, I worked as a journalist and worked with social justice issues in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. Learning should extend beyond the four walls of the classroom, and I will use my knowledge as a Skype Master Teacher and Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert to provide real-world learning activities, and empower students to believe they can change the world!
