Third Grade
Hello! My name is Jennifer Thomas and I am about to start my 15th year in education. Most of my experience comes from teaching in rural areas and in 2019, I decided to take a leap and move to the Wichita area. Boy am I glad I did. I love teaching at Wheatland and enjoy making connections with each student’s family. Throughout my teaching career I have spent; 5 years at 3rd grade, 9 years at 4th grade, and 1 year at 5th grade. I earned a bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University and another bachelor’s degree from Kansas Wesleyan University. I received my master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Fort Hays State University in 2011 and also earned my ESOL endorsement.
Growing up in Mankato (a small, rural community in Kansas) means I’ll always be a small town girl at heart. Most of my family still lives around there and I like to go back and visit every chance I get. I have 14 nieces and nephews and twice as many great nieces and nephews. Family is the BEST!
Third Grade is such a fun age to teach and I look forward to meeting all my new students and families. This is going to be a great school year!
