USD 385 policy states that elementary school students who have a lunch account with a $0.00 balance or less may only charge meals. PowerSchool will be set to allow notifications when meal account balances fall below $15.00. Account holders will need to activate notifications in their PowerSchool account. Please note that PowerSchool updates overnight. Account balances may not reflect charges or payments until the following day. All account holders will receive a weekly email notification of account balances. Accounts with a balance under $10 will receive an automated phone call notification daily until funds have been added to the account. Account holders with a balance of less than $.01 will be contacted directly by food service staff.
For new enrolling students, you will not be able to add funds via check, card, cash or online to your student's Food Service account until after your student's first day of school. We recommend your student brings cash or check for the first day of school until their Food Service account is active 24 hours after the corresponding date. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
